OUM/Meteor Family Day - June 6 2009 - Part 1

More than 500 OUM/Meteor staffs and their family members gathered at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Polo Club to celebrate OUM/Meteor's Family Day 2009. The event started with the pocho-pocho as soon as the President/Vice Chancellor of OUM arrived at about 9.00am.

En. Repin, Vice President, Open University Malaysia, was delivering the opening speech

Staffs and their family members came as early as 7.30am to register and collect their T'Shirts and programme book. They were grouped in 4 groups; Blue, Yellow, Green and Red. As soon as the pocho-pocho is over, the captain of each group were invited to receive their flags. The captain of the blue group was Assoc. Prof. Dato' Dr. Nik Najib (Pengarah PP Kelantan), green group: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selvaraj (Director of OUM-IPD), Red group: Prof. Dr. Yusof (Dean of FASS), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Santhi (Director of CTMD).

After the hand over ceremony, the family day was officialy launched by the President/Vice Chancellor of OUM, Tan Sri Dr. Anwar Ali.

After the launch, the event started with the introductory salutation by each group. The Green group won this event with their creative introduction. After that it was followed by games for children until 11.30am. The games for adults started at 11.30am until 12.30pm.

We were all given a lunch treat as usual while entertained by little Danish and Christina Lee and followed by another comedian.
