Alumni OUM Perak in conjunction with OUM Perak will be organizing the Merdeka Walk on 30 August. The event is to mark our National Day and to inculcate sense of community and patriotism among fellow Malaysians.
Last year's Merdeka WalkDetails are as follows:
Date: 30 August 2008
Time: 6.30am
Venue: Kledang Hill, Menglembu
All are invited to participate. Please bring along your friends and family members to participate as well. Kindly assemble at the foot of the Kledang Hill by 6.30am. You are encouraged to wear OUM's T'shirt on that day.
Tentative Itinerary:
6.30am - Registration of participants
7.00am - Flag off walk - participants to walk up the hill using the tar road until the garden
8.15am - Arrival of participants at the garden
8.30am - Speech by Perak OUM Alumni President
8.40am - Speech by Director of PP Perak
8.50am - Speech by Honorable Guest
9.00am - Negaraku
9.03am - Rukun Negara
9.05am - Patriotic songs
9.30am - Walking down to the hill foot
10.15am - Dismiss
